"Married Life: How to Build and Sustain a Lasting Marriage"

At the start of my marriage, I often looked at other couples and marveled at the way that relationships would flow naturally and two people became one. When I compared those models to my new partnership, I would often get frustrated that we weren’t achieving the same success in our relationship. After nearly a year of marriage, I’ve learned five ways to develop a more fulfilling relationship with my spouse. I hope others can find inspiration and encouragement from these principles.     1. Never Stop Dating - I have grown to learn that dating is very important to keep a relationship going. All this boredom happens when the couples are not trying new things together. Dating helps the couple to know each other better and learn new things about each other. I feel like there comes a time in life when we don’t have time for our spouse because all we care about is building a family and forgetting that it’s important to date our spous...

Raising Strong Daughters

This week I read an article by Nicholeen Peck, and I want to share her article along with my thoughts. She has beautifully penned down different ways to raise daughters.   ‘Raising daughters who embrace their full womanhood and nurturing power in a world of voices that limit women to extrinsic pursuits like popularity, fortune, and sex appeal can be difficult. However, parents can help their daughters safely navigate all the conflicting messages by focusing on the following five lessons.’     ‘Lesson 1  —Talents are varied between the sexes, and girls can try all the activities, including domestic ones.’   I have been raised by a strong woman, my mother. She taught us to be prepared to be in any kind of situation and be an example to others wherever we are. She taught us to be who we want to be and not what society wants us to be or what we feel pressured by family. The way she prepared our minds and hearts I would say I am better in my career, rel...

Countless Sacrifices of Parents

Hello everyone! This week has been a little emotional and filled with memories as we learned about cultures, diversities, social class, and more. We were reading a few experiences of families who sacrificed immensely to provide a better life to their kids. I have been born and brought up by loving parents and I would like to share my thoughts about it.   “Parents is the easiest thing in the world to have an opinion about, But the hardest thing in the world to do.” -        Matt Wish I am the firstborn to my parents and not bragging but I’ve seen my parents joyful with just my smile and devasted with just a tear in my eyes. They both have made enough and beyond sacrifices to make my life happier. I remember both my parents use to work when I was a toddler and they had to leave me home alone to go work so that they could provide for me. I have been blessed to have parents who made sure I was getting good nutrition, exercise, fun, love, and ...

Family - A Divine Design

Hello!  I have been enjoying my classes on family and its aspects, roles, rules, etc. I enjoy learning about the most important unit family and topics related to it of such importance. It is for sure making me a better person, a better family member, someone who wants to look at others' perspectives with the knowledge of choosing to do what’s right.   Family  ( Dictionary :  a group of one or more parents and their children living together as a unit.)  (Wikipedia: A family is a group of people who, in most cases, live together. They share their money and food and are supposed to take care of one another. Its members are either genetically related (like brother and sister) or legally bound to each other, for example by marriage.)   I am not sure if I have ever looked up the meaning of family according to the dictionary. I was thinking of what to share this week. I looked up because what I am going to share is from my belief and something I love dearly....
